<Poem>

<Translation>
LINING the road, gate after open gate.
Weeping willows droop over painted halberds.
Shadowing blinds, pattern of bamboo flowers,
Somebody playing a flute in a sunny spot.
As bees go buzzing round her vanity mirror
She paints on her brows, emerald as hills in spring
Twigs of sweet daphne, intricately interlaced,
Cover the balustrade, flowers turned to the sunset.
